Sea to Sky
Sea to Sky to Sea
Similar to Church to Perdition, this a self timed challenge, you can do it anytime that suits you. The idea is to time your ride from Blackness to the Knock and back – totalling just over 20 miles.
The route starts at Blackness Castle, runs up to, and turns, at the Knock (the top of the Cairnpapple climb), then retrace the route back to Blackness.

Your time must be the TOTAL time including stops at junctions and any other stops made, so make sure your stop watch is on the setting that keeps ticking when your wheels aren’t turning. Please be aware an respect the traffic lights around Kingsfield golf course.
Remember, you are responsible for your own safety, it is a training ride and risks should not be taken in pursuit of a time. There are some blind turns and junctions on the descent where extra care should be taken if going at speed!
Individuals ride the route at their own risk and must follow the Highway Code at all times. West Lothian Clarion and its club members accept no responsibility for the safety of anyone riding the route, and no liability in the event of an accident.
